The EDE technology portfolio:

EDE Instruments CAL5000S
(Determine reflective voltage spikes on shafts.)

Schleich Motor Analyzer 2
(The latest, state of the art offline motor analyzer. It does everything PdmA can do, and everything Baker can do in one field portable package)

Baker Instrument Company EXPLORER II
(An online monitor, AC motor performance monitor, measures most motor performance characteristics)

CAL5000 Calibration Verification System
(Used to verify results while on-site testing)

AEMC Model 6527 Meg Ohm Meter
(A high quality electric insulation resistance tester)

Baker Instrument Company AWA technology
(An offline technology, AWA 4 used to provide QC and predictive maintenance service)

Current transformer set
(Allows accurate measurement between .5 and 3300 amperes)

Tektronix TDS 2014B

Hewlett Packard 54520A
(Make measurements of voltage versus time, example: shaft voltages)

Digital Multi-Meter
(The motor technicians "right hand")

Function Generator
(For debugging certain types of control circuits)

Tektronix P6015A

Fluke

Quality Control
Determine the quality of armature undercutting. QC is important to avoid costly warranty claims.

Electric Motor + Generator Test Service

Special types of electrical test equipment are necessary to properly test most varieties of electric motors and generators. Substantially different test and measurement methods are used for online monitoring vs. off-line situations.  EDE is able to provide for both scenarios with the EDE technology portfolio. Recent jobs in 2012 included 108 AC motors at a large industrial facility and acceptance testing 2000 HP DC motor. Jobs in 2013 included acceptance testing of 6MW generator. Jobs in  2014 included Aviation industry, and Jobs in 2015 have included Public Utility works.
